39 of 2016 Date of Assent: l3th September, 2016 Date of Commencement: 4th October, 2016 AN ACT of Parliament to amend the National Government Constituencies Development Fund Act ENACTED by the Parliament of Keny1 as follows- 1.

This Act may be cited as the National Government Short title.

Section 3 of the National Government Constituencies Amendment of section 3 of No.

30 Development Fund Act (hereinafter referred to as the of 2015.

(a) deleting the word "monthly" and substituting therefor the word "quarterly"; and (b) inserting the words "and the National Assembly Commiffee" immediately after the words "Cabinet Secretffy".

Section 6 of the principal Act is amended by deleting Amendment of section 6 of No.

30 the word "Cabinet Secretary" and substituting therefor the of20l5 word " Board".

Section 15 of the principal Act is amended - Amendment of section 15 of No.30 of 2015.

(a) in subsection (3) by- (i) deleting the word "five" and substituting therefor the word "seven"; and (c)" (iD deleting the words "paragraph and substituting therefor the words "paragraph (e)".

(lA) Notwithstanding subsection (1) the Natio,nal Government may, where necessar/, facilitate ottrer projects or programmes falling within the purview of the National Government with funds other than the funds specified in subsection 4(1), through the National Government Constituency Development Fund Committees established under section 43 (b) by deleting subsertion (2).
